Oil on canvas, unlined. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from some minor craquelure, stretcher bar marks and a shiny varnish. There are two small patches on the reverse of the canvas in the lower left corner and at lower center. These patches correspond to inpaints, addressing losses from flaked impasto, which fluoresce under UV light. There are also scattered spots and dashes of inpainting visible throughout the work, though the varnish does fluoresce as well.
