Condition
Oil on unlined canvas. The canvas is slightly relaxed on the stretcher and there is minor pulling and bumping at the corners. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from a stable web of craquelure and surface dirt and dust. Minor frame abrasions at the extreme edges. Under UV light, the varnish appears to have been selectively cleaned; the ladies fluoresce green, as do some of the background elements, such as the curtain at left. There is inpainting to address craquelure visible in the figures.
