Condition
Oil on canvas, lined. The picture surface is flattened with a stable web of widely-spaced craquelure and covered by a shiny varnish. It is in otherwise very good condition. Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green. There are some areas of inpainting to address craquelure to the right of the subject's head and a few small scattered areas in the background near his feet.
