Condition

Oil on canvas, lined. The surface has a flattened web of fine craquelure. The picture surface is bright with a somewhat shiny varnish. There is a diagonal scratch to the varnish extending from the top of the horses' head through the chest of the older man. Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green. There is older inpainting visible in the sky and newer inpaint throughout the figures' to address craquelure. There is additional inpaiting scattered throughout the work.
