Condition

Oil canvas, lined. The picture surface is somewhat flattened with a yellowed, dirty varnish. There is a minor abrasion to the background to the left of the subject's nose and in the subjects proper left shoulder. Minor scattered abrasions at the extreme edges. Under UV light, The varnish florescence green and is difficult to read. There are some areas of old retouching visible over the varnish around the figure's profile; along the upper left edge; a small area in the lower left background; some small areas near the hands; and a dot above the figures head.
