Condition

Oil on panel. The surface is clean, fresh, and in overall good condition. Under UV light, there are small scattered dashes and dots of inpaint throughout the sky. Additional dots and dashes of inpaint visible at the edges and in the dog and mounted figures at bottom.

It has been suggested that the staffage in the present lot may be by the hand of Wijnant's occasional collaborator Adriaen van de Velde (Amsterdam 1636 - 1672).
