Oil on canvas, unlined and unframed. The work has relaxed on the stretcher and there is rippling throughout; additionally, many of the tacking nails are missing. Stretcher bar marks. Abrasions at the extreme edges. From the reverse, the top left corner has white paint on it; some of this paint has dripped down the back of the canvas. Small loss in the center left window at top. Surface dirt and a discolored varnish. Under UV light, the varnish fluoresces green, though spots of inpainting are visible along the edges, in the upper left corner and along the lower edge
