- Italian School, Circa 1600
- Two Male Head Studies
- a pair, both oil on canvas
- each 10 7/8 by 9 1/2 in.; 27.5 by 24 cm.
Condition
Oil on canvas. Each work was smaller and had cut corners; each has been extended which is evident to the naked eye. There is attendent craquelure and canvas seams that support the previous shape of the works. Overall surface dirt and a dirty varnish. Scattered surface craquelure. Under UV light, the varnish on each work is applied unevenly and heavily and fluroesces dark green.
