Condition

Oil on panel. The surface is relatively clean with a slightly shiny varnish. Some areas of thinness in the background, where some of the wood grain is visible. Under UV light, there are some scattered dots of inpaint around the sitterÂ’s proper right eye; the proper right of his beard; a few to the right of his nose; and a few in the center of his chin. Additionally, there are a few dots of retouching in his top hand. Some dashes of strengthening to the fur in his jacket. Two lines of retouching in the background at left and a spot near the center right edge. In overall good condition and ready to hang.
