Condition

Mostly with thread to small margins, B. 53 and B. 87 laid down and trimmed to or just within the platemark. Other imperfections to individual sheets include: B. 49: mottled fox marks mainly visible in the lower part of the subject, a few nicks at upper sheet edge B. 53: a made up loss at upper right corner of sheet B. 87: mottled fox marks and discoloration B. 98: losses at extreme lower corners, a nick at lower right corner, pale discoloration, paper thinning at lower corners B. 125: two short diagonal creases in the lower left margin B. 131: tipped to support sheet with associated staining and creasing, a few mottled fox marks B. 141: small losses at left sheet edge, the upper one extending 2mm into the subject, a further short tear at upper left corner, paper thinning at lower sheet corners, a few unobtrusive fox marks B. 194: pale staining, mottled foxing, residual hinges with associated skinning in these areas B. 195: tipped at corners to two support sheets with associated discoloration and creasing in these areas, occasional mottled fox marks B. 272: tipped at corners to support sheet with associated losses, two tears at lower sheet edge, a previous mount adhered to upper sheet edge recto, glue staining at upper corners, overall discoloration and foxing
