There are several layers of lacquer patinas which have rubbing at the high points and some scratching, including to the proper right cheek, proper left shoulder and around the proper left knee. There are several minor lacunae due to castings flaws consistent with Venetian casting practice. There are spots of white paint to the drapery on the reverse, the body of the dolphin, the head of Cupid and the base. There is an original rectangular plug to the proper left wrist. The object was once glued to a base; some remnants of glue are around the lower edge.
