Condition

There is wear to the original polychromy, particularly to the centre of the armorial, where much of the paint has flaked away. There is minor craquelure and flaking elsewhere. There is stable splitting to the wood. There are some small losses, including the upper edge at the centre and right side, and to the bottom finial, particularly on the left side. The console is composed in sections and a joint is visible. There are two holes in the top on the left and right sides, a metal mount and hole in the back, and some small holes and metal pins in the top.
