Condition

Overall, this work is in good condition. The canvas is unlined and loosely-stretched. Craquelure is particularly visible in the clothing of the figures and in the lower left quadrant. Some areas of paint loss are present along along the top and bottom edges. White drips, potentially not inherent to the work, are visible in the upper right and lower right quadrants, and specifically in the red dress of the female figure. Light brown spots, potentially not inherent to the work, are visible in the white pants of the male figure. Under ultraviolet inspection, fluorescing occurs in the lower right quadrant.
