Condition

The canvas is lined. The surface is in generally good condition aside from having been somewhat flattened from the lining and appears abraded from previous cleanings. The ground is visible in areas, notably in the area in front of the horse's head. There is pressed craquelure and frame abrasion with losses along the far left edge. Areas of repaint are visible throughout, most particularly in the figures and the horse. Under UV; multiple generations of repaint are visible throughout.
