Condition

The canvas has been lined. The surface of the work is in overall good condition aside from being slightly flattened from the lining. There is fine pressed craquelure throughout the work and a few pin-dots of exposed ground in the face and cloak of the man in red and in the clothing of the man with green tights. There is an area of thinness in the blue dress between the dog and the green tights. Under UV; evidence of inpainting along the lower edge, the upper left corner and lower right corner. Fine scattered pinpoint touchups on the chin of the sitting man on the far right and the neck of the woman standing in the rear.
