Canvas is not lined but is separating from the tacking edge. Surface in overall fair condition; frame abrasion at edge; fine craquelure overall; scattered paint loss mainly in the lower ¼ of the painting; a few small dot of paint loss in the window; a few dents and cuts to surface especially at man's shin and to the right of his head. Under UV; a thick masking varnish overall with occasional small dots of surface dirt that fluoresces.
