The sheet has been laid down on a board and matted. The surface is in overall good condition. Under UV; no apparent inpainting.

Catalogue Note
Bently exhibited a number of Irish views at the Society of Painters in Water-color in 1838 and 1839. It has been suggested that the present picture shows the coastal town of Wicklow and the river Leitrim, Southern Ireland. Another work showing the same Wicklow mountains in the background is in a private collection, Somerset.
