Condition
Laid down on paper. The surface is in overall good condition aside for scattered foxing and discoloration throughout the sheet, with a light brown stain in the lower left edge. There is some surface dirt to the sheet and it has faded in areas that were not covered by a previous mount. The current mount covers the edge of the drawing where there are eight lines that encroach on to the lower and upper corners of the sheet from the paper it has been laid down on. These lines do not appear to be period and may well relate to when it was previously mounted. The chalk is still fresh. Sold in a modern, gilded, wooden frame.
