- inscribed faintly Castiglione (on the reverse)
- red chalk counterproof reworked with brown wash and white heightening on paper
- 10 1/2 by 15 1/2 in.; 26.5 by 39.3 cm.
Condition
Window mounted. Surface in generally good condition aside a few minor stains and areas of surface dirt throughout the sheet. There is a tear to the upper centre of the sheet and an old repair to this is visible on the verso with a tab of adhesive tape. There is also evidence of some old holes to the sheet located in the upper left and right corners. The lead white heightening is beginning to flake resulting in losses throughout the sheet.
