- Bolognese School, 17th Century
- Study of Three Putti
- pen and brown ink and wash over traces of black chalk
- 8 1/2 by 6 1/4 in.; 22.3 by 16.2 cm.
Condition
Laid down on an acid card. In good condition aside from signs of light foxing throughout the sheet and a collection of light brown stains to the upper and lower center edges of the sheet. There are old fold marks in the upper right and lower right corners and what appear to be two ridges in the sheet due to paper defect; one to the left half of the bottom edge and the other to the lower left corner. There are two small blue stains to the lower edge of the sheet and a nick to the lower left corner.
