  • black chalk and point of the brush and blue wash heightened with white on faded blue paper
  • 8 1/8 by 5 1/4 in.; 20.6 by 13.4 cm.

Condition

On blue paper, the intensity of colour which has faded somewhat due to exposure to light. The left, right and lower borders still maintain their original colour due to an old mount which has now been removed. The surface is in generally good condition aside from upper border has areas of surface dirt, this does not however detract from the overall aesthetic of the sheet.
