Description
- Veronese School, 16th Century
- Madonna and Child
- black chalk and brown wash heightened with white on blue paper
- 8 7/8 by 7 1/4 in.; 22.5 by 18.4 cm.
Condition
Window mounted. Laid down on fine japan paper. Surface in good condition; there are a few spots of very light staining, particularly to the left side of the sheet. There are a number of small holes throughout the sheet that are not noticeable unless inspected from the verso and some thinning to the paper. This do not detract in any way from the overall aesthetic of the drawing.
