Condition

The canvas is lined. The surface is in overall good condition aside for a slightly dirty varnish, dust, and craquelure. There are some visible retouches in the upper left quadrant and some scattered pinpoint losses. Inspection under UV reveals a vertical retouch of approximately 7 in. long on the right middle 5 inches from the edge, possibly a repaired tear. Minor scattered old retouches visible on forehead, shoulder, chest and background.
