Condition
The canvas has an old lining. The surface is in generally good condition but appears slightly abraded, particularly around the edges and in the sky. Pressed craquelure and fine paint separation throughout. The varnish appears slightly dull and dirty. Scattered minor losses of approximately 1/4 inch in diameter in an area above the figure's head and along the lower right edge. Several small retouches are visible in the lower right quadrant and along the left edge. There is a very fine, s-shaped scratch in the lower center underneath the figure's arm.
