Condition

The canvas has a wax lining. There is finely pattered craquelure throughout and small scattered losses, notably along the right edge, the upper side in the tree, the lower left edge on the ground and in the center on the ground. There is a thin vertical depression running down the right side, approximately 1 inch from the edge with visible retouches. The varnish is slightly dirty and appears to have darkened over time. Inspection under UV reveals inpainting along all 4 edges, scattered retouches in the sky and trees and along the vertical depression on the right side. This painting is offered without a frame.
