The painting is more yellow in colour and more muted in tone than it's catalogue illustration would suggest. The canvas has been relined and the paint surface appears to be in good condition with no apparent damage or loss of paint. There appears to be a minor area of retouching in the lower centre at the canvas edge and a discoloured varnish overall. Inspection under ultrviolet light is impeded by the varnish however it confirms the presence of the aforementioned retouching and shows up a fleck of retouching in the chimney pots however the canvas appears to be in good condition overall. Offered in a carved wood frame with old woodworm damage.
