Condition
The colours are richer and deeper in tonality than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas appears to be lined and the paint surface appears to be in good condition overall with no apparent damage or loss of paint. Inspection under ultrviolet light reveals some minor scattered and cosmetic retouching along the lower edge and in the centre left, as well as a discoloured varnish overall that impedes further examination. Overall the painting appears to be in superb fresh condition. Offered in a gilt plaster and wood frame in good condition.
