Condition

Movement and all functions are in working order while cataloguing. Very nice and harmonised tone of the melodies. The quality can be further enhanced by placing on top of the special wooden stand that comes with this timepiece. Dial is clean and intact. No visible blemishes to the case, excellent condition. Buckle with superficial hairlines. A very interesting and rare piece to collect. Catalogue Note

With a Girard-Perregaux Certificate, Guarantee Card, Instruction Manuals and a presentation box with outer packaging.  Further accompanied by a Girard-Perregaux special large presentation box with a wooden stand to enhance the sound of the melodies. 

Originally launched in 2003, the Girard Perregaux Opera 3 is the latest and most complicated in the Opera line-up of Haute Horlogerie from the company. Featuring a miniaturized music-box housed within the movement, upon the passing of each hour, if requested, one of two melodies with play via a music box with a 20 fingered blade and drum with 150 hand-placed pins. The engineering and complexity of the movement allow the wearer three options. 1. Silence, no music will play as the hours pass. 2. The watch will play either W.A Mozart’s “A Little Night Music” or P.J. Tchaikovsky’s “No Great Love” as the hour passes. 3. The music will play the desired composer on demand.
