Catalogue Note

With an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1902 and sale on 2nd July 1906.

Multi-complication Patek Philippe pocket watches made in the early 20th century, particularly those made to order, established the Geneva company as a leader in their field. This example with white dial, Breguet numerals and red outer Arabic numerals is of a classic design for the era and benefits from a sliding-lock switch to prevent accidental operation of the chronograph. Originally designed for horse racing whereby multiple times could be recorded, the split seconds function has become one of Patek Philippe’s primary features found within its most desirable models for over a century.
