Catalogue Note

With a Cartier presentation box.

Available as a special edition in either white gold, yellow gold or platinum, each with a unique number, the Cartier mystery pocket watches made in the 1980s were inspired by the original ¿Type A¿ Cartier Mystery clocks of the early 20th century designed by Maurice Couët. The principle was to create sapphire disks that rotate via gears hidden within the case to give the illusion the hands are floating without apparent connection to the movement.
