Catalogue Note

With an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1992 and sale on November 16th, 1992. This model is offered 'service sealed' and a copy of the Patek Philippe service receipt for complete overhaul dated March 16, 2011.

The Patek Philippe ref.3940 made its debut in 1985 as the company's first perpetual calendar wristwatch to use a self-winding micro rotor. Bearing no relation to its considerably larger and thicker predecessor, ref.3450, the 3940 housed the revolutionary cal.240Q movement and expressed the periods trend for elegant slim wristwatches.
