Description

circulaire, reposant sur un haut pied évasé, la panse et le couvercle renflés, le jade d'une belle couleur céladon pâle finement incisé d'un décor archaïsant de masques de taotie sur fond de grecques, flanqué de part et d'autre d'anses ajourées sculptées de têtes d'éléphant sylisées, le couvercle agrémenté d'une prise ajourée évoquant une fleur de lotus aux pétales stylisés, la pierre d'une belle teinte uniforme, socle en bois (3)

Condition

The censer is in overall very good condition. The colour of the jade is of a slightly more celadon tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
