Condition
There is some light overall wear to the enamels and iron-red, particularly along the rim of the cover. There is some flaking to the pink, purple and green enamels on the cover but also near and along the rim of the cover. The gilding on the inside cover rim and inside box rim and foot is slightly worn.

Compare a pair of mille fleurs-decorated cups each elaborately decorated in 'famille rose' enamels on the exterior with different flowers including lotus, dianthus, peony and chrysanthemum interspersed with leaves in two shades of green, each with a six-character seal mark of Jiaqing in iron-red, formerly in the E.T. Chow Collection, sold Sotheby's Hong Kong, 25th November 1980, lot 171; see also a vase decorated overall with a dense mille-fleurs design, the turquoise-glazed base also with an iron-red six-character Jiaqing seal mark, sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 5th and 6th November 1996, lot 892.
