Condition

There are small scattered areas of loss to the silk which have carefully been filled in along the lower left hand edge of the painting, the centre lower edge and along the lower right hand side of the painting. There is a small tear to the silk in the centre of a leaf. There is light overall wear to the painting, particularly to the upper right hand edge. The colours are more subtle and less dark on the right hand side of the painting than the catalogue illustration suggests.
