canvas is glued along the upper edge to a board of the same size. SURFACE: in failrly good condition; a few losses from flaking at lower left in yellows; canvas buckles slightly UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: no apparent inpainting

The subject of the present work is Sandy Campbell (1904-1999), Donald Windham's partner of 40 years. Both were good friends of Paul Cadmus.
