REF. 3960 was among several limited edition commemorative models produced in 1989 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Patek Philippe. It became a favourite among collectors for its allusions to the officer watches produced in the early 20th century, with their hinged back, enamel-style dial and screw-set lugs.  This reference was produced in a limited series of 2000 pieces in yellow gold, 150 pieces in white gold and 50 pieces in platinum.
