Condition
Illustration is a little too dark. It has actually a warmer reddish colour.
Some horizontal cracks on the roll-top and on each side.
It would benefit from a restoration in order the roll-top can be open correctly (the lock needs to be repaired).
Giltbronzes added later (one keyhole is missing as visible on the photograph).
Fine quality of mahogany moulding.
Large scale.
