Catalogue Note

Baxter was an early fan of McLuhan's and helped to mount 'The Medium is the Message' as part of a huge arts festival at UBC in 1965, which Tom Wolfe wrote about in Kandy-Kolored Tangarine-Flaked Streamlined Baby. This work is unique, and not a multiple, although the background serigraph was used for other subjects.
