Fourteen lithographs, including two of the second state printed on opposite sides of a single sheet and duplicates of the ninth and fourteenth states, circa 1945-6, the second state with blue wash, including Mourlot's states 2, 6, 7a, 8a, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18 (final) states, each one of 19 proofs reserved for the artist and the printer (there was also a signed and numbered edition of 50 in the 18th state), printed by Mourlot, on wove or Arches wove paper

Condition
The second state with margins, wide margins at left and right sides (left edge unevenly trimmed), the other states with the full sheet (most with a deckle at lower edge of sheet), all in generally good condition apart from slight light- and backboard-staining, occasional pale stains in the margins (mostly associated with previous hinging verso), five of them framed, the others unframed.
- 2nd state inscribed '2e' and 'M 16 2e état' in pencil recto and '2e' in pencil on the reverse. Side margins folded underneath still leaving 3-4cm margins on each side, slight paper discoloration, some scattered minute fox marks and occasional handling creases.
- 6th state inscribed '6e état M 16 6e etat' in pencil in lower margin recto and '61-65bis 66' consecutively and '6e état 30/11 150' in pencil verso. Pale uneven paper discoloration along right edge of sheet, pale stains along the edges of sheet verso (associated with previous hinging).
- 7th a state inscribed 'M 16 7e' in pencil in lower right margin recto and '67 30/12 7e état 190' in pencil verso. Minor stains at corners verso (associated with previous hinging) faintly visible in upper left corner recto, two small pale stains towards centre of sheet verso.
- 8th a state inscribed 'litho de Pablo Picasso Collection de Marie Thérèse Walter M T. Walter Novembre 1973' in pencil verso. A small pale stain at centre of sheet verso.
- 9th state inscribed '9e' and 'M 16 9e etat' in pencil in lower margin recto and '68 8e etat 5/1/46 69 9e état 10/1/46' and '150' in pencil verso. Slight backboard-staining, pale stains at lower corners verso (associated with previous hinging), a pale stain at centre of sheet verso.
- Duplicate of 9th state inscribed '9e 10/1/46' in pencil in lower margin recto and '9 STATE' and 'M 16 9 etat' in pencil verso.
- 10th state inscribed 'M 16 10 etat' and '10e' in pencil in lower margin and '70 10e état 17/1/46' and '150' in pencil verso. Pale light- and backboard-staining, remains of old hinges at corners verso with associated stains visible recto, two small stains at centre of lower and right margins recto.
- 13th state inscribed '13e' and 'M 16 13e etat' in pencil in lower margin recto. Slight paper discoloration along the edges, pale backboard-staining, remains of old hinges at corners verso with associated stains visible verso and at upper left corner recto.
- 14th state inscribed '14e' and 'M 16 14e etat' in pencil in lower margin recto. Slight paper discoloration along the edges, a very small tear at centre of lower edge of sheet (not affecting the image), remains of old hinges at corners and centre of lower and right edges of sheet verso, very slight cockling, a minute blue ink blotch at lower left corner verso.
- Duplicate of 14th state incorrectly inscribed '15e état' and 'M 16 15e etat' in pencil in lower margin recto and '75 15 etat 1/2/46' and '150' in pencil verso. Very pale light- and backboard-staining, paper tape along the edges of the sheet verso, remains of old hinges at corners and centre of left edge of sheet verso.
- 16th state inscribed 'M 16 16e etat' in pencil in lower right margin corner recto and '76 16e état 6/2/46' and '150' in pencil verso. Uneven pale paper discoloration along the edges of sheet recto, remains of old hinges at corners verso.
- 17th state inscribed 'M 16 17e etat' in pencil in lower margin and '77 17e état 8/2' and '150' in pencil verso. Slight light- and backboard-staining, remains of old hinges at corners and centre of right edge of sheet verso with associated stains visible recto, a vertical crease running along left edge of sheet.
- 18th (final) state inscribed 'M 16 18e etat' in pencil in lower margin recto. Very pale stains at corners verso (associated with previous hinging).
