Condition
The illustration is quite accurate.
Attractive model in overall good condition.
There are some wear to the gilding, particularly to the flat surface.
The mirror plate in the middle of the stretcher with minor stains.
The top has a good colour.
As said attractive model, fine condition.

Catalogue Note
Ce guéridon élaboré en Russie aux environs de 1800 est directement inspiré par des guéridons français attribués à François-Honoré-Georges Jacob-Desmalter ou même signés de Jacob frère, rue Meslèe n°76 et 77. Le dernier guéridon conservé au Musée de l'Ermitage provient certainement des collections de l'Impératrice Joséphine à la Malmaison puis échut par héritage à son fils le prince Eugène et à leurs descendants titrés ducs de Leuchtenberg et habitant en Russie.
Ce guéridon s'inspire également de la publication de Pierre Antoine Leboux et de son célèbre "Recueil de la Mésangère, Meubles et objets de goût" planche II datée 1802-1803
