Cette terrine en métal argenté est illustrée dans Peter Führing, Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier, Un génie du rococo, vol. II, p. 239. Il s'agit probablement de la même pièce mentionnée dans l'article du bulletin du musée de Cleveland, H. Hawley, Meissonnier's Silver for the Duke of Kingston, 1978, note 164.

In overall good condition. One screw missing inside the cover.

Cette terrine est copiée sur l'une des deux fameuses terrines dessinnées par Just-Aurèle Meissonnier et réalisées en 1736 pour le duc de Kingston.
This silver-plated tureen is illustrated by Peter Führing in Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier, Un génie du rococo, vol. II, p. 239. It also probably the one mentioned in the bulletin of the Cleveland Museum, by H. Hawley, Meissonnier's Silver for the Duke of Kingston, 1978, note 164.
