La boîte fut donnée à Jean-Baptiste-Auguste Habde (Paris 1781-1839), auteur dramatique, dont une des oeuvres, publiée en 1820, est intitulée Relation historique, heure par heure, des événements funèbres de la nuit du 13 février 1820, d'après des témoins oculaires , Paris, 1820, et raconte l'histoire de l'assassinat du duc de Berry. Condition
Generally good order. So,e losses to blue enamel on front; lid right corner and right side. Join visible on base rim at right front corner. Sole lid pins lacking. Some pitting on lid lining.
