  • 5,7 et 5 cm ; 2 1/4 et 2 in
sur fond guilloché parsemé d'étoiles entouré d'une corde en or de plusieurs tons et de fleurs, poinçon de charge et de décharge de H. Clavel; avec une petite tabatière en or et émail, le couvercle orné d'une plaque ovale en émail, sur un fond émaillé de rouge bordé de feuilles d'acanthe, poinçon de maître effacé, poinçon de charge et de décharge de J. Alaterre, Paris, 1773



oval, engine-turned and scattered with pellets within coloured gold cord and flower borders, charge et décharge de H. Clavel; and a small gold and enamel snuff box, the lid later inset with an oval enamel plaque painted with a shepherdess, scarlet enamel ground within acanthus borders, maker's mark rubbed, charge et décharge de J. Alaterre, Paris, 1773

Condition

First box probably previously enamelled but generally good condition with slight wear; second box has been re-enamelled overall with subsuquent damage to the right side panel.
