Catalogue Note
The arms are those of Prince Louis-Henri de Bourbon-Condé (1640-1703), prince of Neufchâtel and Valangin, count of Noyers and of Dunois. He started in the Church where he was given the title of Abbé de la Couture. He left to marry in 1694 Angelique de Montmorency-Luxembourg (1666-1736) with whom he had two daughters, The Duchess of Luynes and Mademoiselle d'Estouteville. Given that the marriage arms are enclosed by a widow's ribbon, it is possible to date this item after 1703.
