Pour une jardinière au même modèle mais de forme carrée, 1878, voir Sotheby's Paris, 28 mars 2007, n° 125.
Ce modèle a été créé par Auguste Reiber (1826-1893). Un exemplaire de cette jardinière a figuré à l'Exposition Universelle de Paris en 1878. Il pouvait être accompagné d'une paire de chandeliers au même modèle. Une jardinière est conservée au musée d'Orsay et est illustrée dans le Japonisme, Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, Paris, 1988, RMN, p. 169, n° 112. Une autre est illustrée dans Julius Hoffmann, Der Modern Stil, Arnoldsche, 2006, p. 132.
A square jardiniere of the same model was sold Sothebys Paris, 28 March 2007 no. 125. An example of the jardiniere which was designed by Auguste Reiber (1826-1893) was exhibited at the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1878. It came with a pair of candelabras. An example exists in the Musée D'Orsay and is illustrated in Japonism, Galeries National de Grand Palais, Paris, 1988 RMN, p. 169 no. 112. Another is illustrated by Julius Hoffmann in Der Modern Stil, Arnoldsche, 2006, p.132
