- Grande timbale en argent et vermeil, par Johann Sigmund Abrell, Augsbourg, vers 1710-1712
- Haut. 16,2 cm, 339 g ; 6 1/4 in, 10oz 17dwt
reposant sur un piédouche godronné, gravée de deux vues d'Augsbourg, l'une représentant l'Hôtel de Ville construit en 1614, l'autre une fontaine devant la tour de Perlach, cette dernière s'élevant au-dessus de l'église Saint-Pierre de Perlach, construite en 1182 et située à côté de l'Hôtel de Ville, dans un entourage de feuilles et fleurs d'acanthe, également gravée d'un écusson aux armes de la famille von Schnürbein (Bavière)

Condition
In overall good condition. The gilding on foot and neck slightly worn, the footrim slightly torn at one place.
Very legible marks under the base, with assay scrape. Also stamped with export mark A/TF.
Very nice quality of engraving.

Cette timbale forme paire avec une ayant figuré dans la vente Sotheby's Paris, 15 avril 2010, n° 200. Cette dernière était gravée avec deux autres vues d'Augsbourg.
