Provenance
The arms are those of Nicholas Joseph Esterházy de Galantha (1714-1790). Prince Nicholas was the grandson of the founder of the princely branch of the Esterházy, Paul prince palatine of Hungary (1635-1713). He was a soldier and great patron of the arts, Joseph Haydn being the conductor of his private orchestra. He built the palace of Esterháza, the finest rococo monument in Hungary.
Condition
Wear to armorials, colour a bit repolished, large solid dish.
