Condition

Bon état général. Comme indiqué dans le catalogue, les hauts des boîtes sur lesquelles ont été gravées les armes ont été rapportés. Les couvercles ne sont donc pas poinçonnés. Poinçons: Sur les piédouches, poinçons d'orfèvre en partie lisibles, sous le pied de l'une, jurande et décharge lisibles, traces d'autres poinçons ; sous le pied de la seconde, charge, jurande et décharge lisibles. In overall good condition. As stated in the catalogue, the upper parts of the boxes where arms have beeen engraved, have been later added. The covers are therefor unmarked. Marks: On footrims, maker's mark partly legible ; under one foot, jurande and discharge legible, traces of other marks ; under the other foot, charge, discharge and jurande legible.

Les armes gravées rapportées sont celles de Jean-François Poisson, marquis de Vandières et de Marigny (1727-1781, frère cadet de la marquise de Pompadour, directeur des manufactures du Roi de 1751 à 1773.
