STRUCTURE The canvas has been relined. PAINT SURFACE The paint surface is generally sound with minor surface abrasions. It would also benefit from a light clean. ULTRAVIOLET UV light reveals an uneven varnish and scattered retouching in the sky and to the background. FRAME Held in a plaster gilt frame with some old marks and scratches.
