Condition

STUCTURE The canvas has been relined. PAINT SURFACE The paint surface is in generally sound, clean condition but is slightly thin in some areas. ULTRAVIOLET UV light reveals a few scattered flecks of infilling to the sky, some further in the foreground and to a small v-shaped tear to the horse, lower left. FRAME Held in a plain plaster-gilt frame in fair condition.
